One simple tool for learning and practicing ALOHA.
We are developing a single six-sided ALOHA die designed to help people learn the five values, build recall, and eventually apply them to real situations.
The current concept
One die represents the five ALOHA values and the ALOHA Pause. The two A faces use small letter cues so Akahai and Ahonui can be recognized without changing the A-L-O-H-A structure.
Final typography, engraving, material, packaging, and production details are still being tested.
Start by learning the values
The first purpose of the die is simple: build familiarity with the five parts of ALOHA.
- Roll one symbol.
- Try to recall the ALOHA value.
- Reveal or confirm its name and meaning.
- Repeat until the five values become familiar.
Then move into practice
As familiarity grows, the same die can become a reflection tool for real situations.
- Apply a value to a suggested scenario.
- Bring in a personal or group situation.
- Use the value as a reflection lens.
- Name one action that puts the value into practice.
When the triangle appears
The triangle represents ALOHA as an integrated whole. Pause and recall all five values before responding or acting. The triangle does not represent Lōkahi alone.
Simple physical tool. Deeper digital learning.
The physical die is intended to remain simple. The Share Aloha Now website provides the expandable learning layer with teaching mode, value meanings, scenarios, reflection prompts, and facilitator guidance.
QR access
The current direction is for the physical product to include simple QR access back to Share Aloha Now so participants can return to the intended meanings, training, and practice experience.
The final placement and packaging format are still being developed.
